What Happens When Someone Joins Unverified

Prev Next

In some cases, a participant may join a protected meeting without completing identity verification.

imper.ai makes unverified participants clearly visible so protected users can take appropriate action if needed.

How Unverified Participants Are Identified

Unverified participants are clearly marked within the meeting interface with an Unverified status or elevated risk indicator.

This allows protected users to quickly identify who has not completed verification.

Why Someone May Be Unverified

A participant may appear as unverified for several reasons, including:

  • Joining via a forwarded or unauthorized meeting link

  • Skipping verification if allowed by organizational policy

  • Incomplete or unsuccessful verification

  • Joining from an external organization

What Protected Users Can Do

If someone joins unverified, protected users can:

  • Send a verification request directly during the meeting

  • Monitor the participant while continuing the meeting

  • Remove the participant if necessary

Once verification is completed, the participant’s status updates automatically during the meeting.

Logging and Audit

All verification-related activity is logged automatically.

Administrators can review verification outcomes and risk data later through the imper.ai Admin Console.
