imper.ai integrates with Microsoft Teams to protect meetings and real-time collaboration against impersonation, social engineering, and AI-driven identity attacks.
By continuously verifying participants using identity, device, and contextual signals, imper.ai helps organizations detect and respond to high-risk interactions without disrupting the Teams meeting experience.
Once connected, imper.ai monitors Microsoft Teams meetings in real time and applies verification and risk analysis automatically, based on your organization’s security policies.
Microsoft Teams integration
Microsoft Entra ID must be configured before integrating imper.ai with Microsoft Teams.
imper.ai integrates with Microsoft Teams to protect meetings and real-time collaboration against impersonation, social engineering, and AI-driven identity attacks. The integration relies on identity signals from Microsoft Entra to continuously verify participants without disrupting the Teams experience.
Once connected, imper.ai monitors Microsoft Teams meetings in real time and automatically applies verification and risk analysis based on your organization’s security policies.
What imper.ai Protects in Microsoft Teams
When integrated with Microsoft Teams, imper.ai protects:
Microsoft Teams meetings created by users in your organization
Internal and external participants joining meetings
Meetings accessed via shared or forwarded links
Protection is applied transparently and does not require end-user configuration.
How the Microsoft Teams Integration Works
The Microsoft Teams integration consists of two core components:
Microsoft Teams Communication Channel
The Microsoft Teams communication channel is a backend integration that leverages Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Graph APIs.
This component enables imper.ai to:
Monitor Teams meetings in real time
Evaluate participant identity and context
Apply verification logic and risk scoring
This backend integration is required for meeting protection.
imper.ai Microsoft Teams App
The imper.ai Teams app is deployed within Microsoft Teams and provides in-meeting visibility and security indicators for protected users.
The app complements backend protection but does not replace it.
Deployment Model (High Level)
Deploying imper.ai for Microsoft Teams typically involves:
Configuring Microsoft Entra ID permissions
Connecting the Microsoft Teams Communication Channel
Deploying the imper.ai Microsoft Teams app (recommended)
(Optional) Configuring a custom meeting URL
Each step is documented in a dedicated onboarding article.
Protected User Experience
Once deployed:
Teams meeting links are wrapped with imper.ai verification
Participants are verified before joining meetings
imper.ai assigns a real-time risk score to participants
Protected users can view verification indicators during meetings
Participants are not shown internal risk scores.
