Scope and Limitations of imper.ai

Prev Next

imper.ai provides Workforce Identity Verification (IDV) controls for high-risk workforce identity events. The platform evaluates interaction environments and verifies operator legitimacy during identity lifecycle workflows.

This article clarifies what the platform does and what it does not do.

What imper.ai does

imper.ai provides Workforce Identity Verification across critical identity moments, including:

  • Help desk account recovery and MFA resets

  • Hiring and onboarding workflows

  • Credential issuance and re-enrollment

  • Shadow workforce and credential sharing scenarios

  • Risk-based step-up verification during employment

Specifically, imper.ai:

  • Detects attacker-controlled or anomalous environments in real time

  • Verifies that the operator is the legitimate employee

  • Triggers contextual verification

  • Enforces policy automatically within existing workflows

  • Logs structured identity assurance data for audit and SOC review

What imper.ai does not do

  • It is not an identity provider (IdP)

  • It is not a SIEM or log aggregation platform

  • It does not inspect message or call content

  • It does not replace endpoint protection or DLP tools

imper.ai does not rely on:

  • Document uploads

  • Biometric enrollment

  • Static knowledge-based questions

  • Manual help desk discretion

Integration-first design

imper.ai is designed to complement existing security and identity infrastructure by adding real-time identity assurance to live interactions.
